ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Due to heavy rain in the area, Sunday's doubleheader at Claflin University has been canceled.
 
The doubleheader was halted after the first inning of game one when SRU was leading Claflin 1-0. SRU took the 1-0 lead after Sara Mikulec drew a bases loaded walk, scoring Lexie Zavarelle. The game was then halted due to heavy rain leading to the cancellation.
 
Slippery Rock will return to action when it travels to Virginia State University for a pair of doubleheaders Feb. 29 and March 1. First pitch on both days is scheduled for 12 p.m.
