SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University athletic communication office and The Rock football coaching staff will team up Wednesday, Feb. 6 to provide live updates from the 2019 National Signing Day.

National Letters of Intent are expected to begin rolling in at 9 a.m. Once the letters are verified by the SRU compliance office, this page will be updated with complete bios, a graphic for each player, quotes from the SRU coaching staff and links to highlight videos.

Live announcements will take place on the official Slippery Rock Athletics Twitter account (@Rock_Athletics). All signees will be announced on Twitter first before this page is updated. Fans are encouraged to use the hashtag #ROCKNAT19N to interact on social media networks throughout signing day.
 
Once all signees are finalized, a gallery of all the player graphics will be loaded to Facebook and linked to this page. A full announcement of the signing class will be posted to the homepage at www.RockAthletics.com Wednesday afternoon once all expected letters are returned.

Slippery Rock is expected to announce the signing of multiple mid-year transfer students in addition to a large number of traditional high school seniors as part of the 2019 recruiting class.

Updates will be posted below beginning Wednesday morning - Refresh the page to make sure you get the latest list of signees. Signees will be listed in the order the National Letters are received by the football staff.

Coach Lutz says: "Big time receiver out of State College High School and Penn State. His dad Bruce played in the NFL and was the fourth overall pick in the NFL Draft. He fills a big need we have for an outside receiver. Brandon is a 6-4 kid that can high-point the ball. He's in school this spring and with the team for spring ball and still has four years of eligibility remaining."

Coach Lutz Says: "Eric started on the OL at Concord and has three years of eligibility left. He is a big and strong interior lineman that will probably will play center or guard here. What is really great is that he already has experience at the college level. He could make an impact right away."

Coach Lutz Says: "Nazir attended IUP originally and came to us mid-semester so he is here with us this spring. He is a tall guy with great range that is very physical and athletic. He's a press type of cornerback that could have an immediate impact and has a chance to play right away in our system. He's also got three years of eligibility remaining."

4. Cinque Sweeting (RB/WR)  |  6-0  |  180  |  Miami, Fla. / American Senior (Seton Hill)

Coach Lutz Says: "Cinque is a mid-year transfer from Seton Hill that is already here, so we know his abilities well. We watched him blow by numerous players in this league over the last couple years. He could play running back or move to the slot. We just need to get him the ball. We expect him to be an immediate impact player. He is also on an academic scholarship and is a great student."

Coach Lutz Says: "Sam could make an immediate impact at the field safety position as a guy that could replace Kyle Hall right away. He had Division I interest out of high school before going the junior college route. He's got great speed, athleticism and ball skills and possesses everything we are looking for in that safety position."

Coach Lutz Says: "Deoveon is a guy that had Division I offers and we're excited to get him. He has big-time playmaking ability and has speed you just can't coach. He also knows how to win and played on a state championship team. With tremendous ball skills, we will likely play him at the outside receiver position."

7. Sam Enslen (OL)  |  6-4  |  310  |  Evans City, Pa. / Butler

- Utilized primarily as an offensive lineman, but also played on the defensive line and punted
- Only played two years of football and played soccer before that
 
Coach Lutz Says: "Sam is a local guy from Butler. He's the type of guy that we look for along our line in that he is big and strong. He's someone we think can play at the guard spot and can play against the run."

Coach Lutz Says: "Dante is a local WPIAL kid that we really liked from West Allegheny, which is a really successful high school program. He's a tough kid that also wrestled in high school and gives us depth at slot receiver."

9. Yuriy Hryckowian (OL)  |  6-3  |  275  |  Chalfont,Pa. / Central Bucks-South

Coach Lutz Says: "Yuriy is a great get for us from the eastern side of the state. A lot of our opponents were in on him. He is very athletic, moves very well and could play any of the offensive line positions. He's got a chance to see the field right away as a freshman."

Coach Lutz Says: "We needed a tight end with the departure of both of our tight ends. Colin is a big guy at 6-4, 230 pounds and he's pretty athletic and has good hands. With his size, he won't have to grow into the position and could see the field immediately next year. "

Coach Lutz Says: "Jevon is our top recruit on defense. He came from a small school in West Virginia. We think he can be an impact guy right away. He's put together, gets off the ball fast and is a very physical playmaker. He could play DE or DT. Devon is tremendous get for us."

13. RayQuin Glover (WR)  |  5-7  |  160  |  Morgan, Pa. / South Fayette

Coach Lutz Says: "RayQuin is a WPIAL kid from a good South Fayette program. He might be the smallest kid we recruited, but he makes people miss in space and is very athletic. He'll cause a lot of problems for defenses in our slot position. He could also see time in the return game."

14. Cody Ross (LB)  |  5-11  |  215  |  Aliquippa, Pa. / Freedom Area

Coach Lutz Says: "Cody is a winner and a leader and the type of guy we want in our room. He played fullback and linebacker in high school and will play linebacker here. He's a downhill, throwback type of player that loves the game. He embodies the relentless style we look for."

15. Selvin Haynes (DB)  |  5-10  |  170  |  Glenside, Pa. / Upper Dublin

Coach Lutz Says: "Selvin is a true cover corner with tremendous man-to-man skills as a cover guy. He is playing in prestigious East-West All-Star game later this spring. This is a guy that could play receiver here, but we really like the cover skills he has and we think he can shine in our secondary."

16. Cameron Marett (WR)  |  5-8  |  160  |  New Wilmington, Pa. / Wilmington

Coach Lutz Says: " Cameron is a local kid that will add depth to our receiving corps. He made his mark as a running back at Wilmington and can  also be used as a return specialist and as a special teams guy. We'll start him here in the slot, but he could play multiple positions."

17. Avante McKenzie (RB)  |  5-8  |  187  |  Aliquippa, Pa. / Aliquippa

Coach Lutz Says: "Avante is not the biggest guy, but every time he gets the ball, you hold your breath because he can take it the distance every time he gets it. He is put together well for a shorter back and is very physical and powerful with great vision and a low center of gravity. He has all the tools you look for in a running back and he is a guy we think will have a big role in our offense during his career."

18. Chris Mohra (LB)  |  6-0  |  170  |  Conneaut Lake, Pa. / Fairview

Coach Lutz Says: "Chris made his mark as a running back in high school, but he is a guy we that we think can be a physical linebacker here. He is a tough, hard-nosed guy that will add depth to linebackers next year."

Coach Lutz Says: "Anthony is one of the biggest gets we have had on the offensive line in a long time. It is hard to find tackles right out of high school and he's got a chance to replace Steve Gaviglia right away. He is a big guy that is nasty and physical in the trenches. He's also got great feet and athleticism for a guy his size. We're really excited about the potential he brings."

21. Cohen Russell (WR)  |  5-7  |  165  |  Boalsburg, Pa. / State College

- Aided State College to a District 6 Class 6A title and a PIAA state quarterfinals appearance his senior year

- On defense, made 61 tackles and was a PA Football Writers 6A All-State selection as a cornerback in 2018

Coach Lutz Says: "Cohen is a guy that had a lot of looks at the Division I level. He finished second in the state in the 100-meter dash last year and might be the fastest player our program has ever had from a pure speed standpoint. He could be a running back or a slot receiver. We just need to get him the ball because he can fly."

22. Devin Sims (DB)  |  5-9  |  175  |  McKeesport, Pa. / McKeesport

Coach Lutz Says: "Devin is a missile. He is an undersized guy that is put together well and loves contact. He comes from a strong high school program at McKeesport. We think he can play the boundary safety position and give us depth in the secondary right away."

23. Jalen Dangerfield (DB)  |  5-9  |  190  |  Abingdon, Md. / Harford Tech

Coach Lutz Says: "It's always great to get a good player from out of state. Jalen is a tremendous athlete that could easily play receiver for us. He has great ball skills and loves contact, so we think he will be an excellent fit at the safety position. We could also use him in the return game."

He is a guy we think can step in and play tackle, which is always hard to find right out of high school. He's intelligent and has tremendous feet. He could have an opportunity to play next season right away.'

Coach Lutz Says: "Kyle is a big get for us. He is a local kid that has tremendous size and great speed for his size. He had some solid Division I attention. Colin played QB at Conneaut because he was the best athlete on the team, but his natural spot is at the outside receiver position. There might be a small learning curve moving to receiver, but we're thrilled about the upside he possesses."
