SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's lacrosse team bounced back from a disappointing late loss to No. 21 East Stroudsburg last Saturday with a convincing 16-4 victory over Seton Hill University Tuesday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action from Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.

The Rock (6-3, 2-3 PSAC) reeled off a 9-0 run in the first half and Seton Hill (2-8, 1-5 PSAC) was never able to threaten in the second half.

Slippery Rock finished the game with advantages of 26-24 in shots, 12-9 in draw controls and 36-33 in ground balls. The Rock were 19-of-28 in clear attempts and went 6-of-7 on free position shot attempts, while the Griffins were 13-of-22 on the clear and 0-for-9 in free position attempts.

Emily Bitka didn't allow a single free position goal and finished the day with 10 saves and just three goals allowed to pick up her sixth win of the season. She also caused four turnovers and grabbed 11 ground balls while playing the first 53:53 of the game.
Haley Barrett played the final 6:07 and recorded her first career save while allowing one goal.

The Rock attack was paced by freshman
Francesca Lindelow with a career-high six points on five goals and one assist.
Jasey Sanders scored two goals and handed out one assist,
ShyAnne Toomer tallied one goal and dished out two assists and
Kelly Muenster recorded one goal and one assist to cap the multiple point scorers.

Slippery Rock also got one goal each from
Bre Vodde,
Kelsey Thoensen,
Tori Penders,
Tia Torchia,
Erin Brown and
Danie Porath, who led the defense with three caused turnovers and five ground balls.

Seton Hill was led by Mackenzie Kilduff with two goals and one assist. Savannah Monroe and Jaclyn Frank each tallied one goal and Alexis Petrarca handed out two assists. Hailey Jacobs played the first half in goal and took the loss after allowing 11 goals and recording one save. Kamille Ward, who played the final 30 minutes, allowed five goals and made five saves.

Slippery Rock will now embark on a three-game road swing that begins Friday with a 3 p.m. game at Millersville.
