EDINBORO, Pa.- The Slippery Rock University volleyball team took a 3-0 loss at Edinboro University Tuesday night in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Northwest action. The Fighting Scots swept The Rock with individual victories of 26-24, 25-14 and 25-20.
With the loss, Slippery Rock drops to 12-18 overall and 4-12 in the PSAC. Edinboro wins its fifth straight match as it improves to 22-6 on the year and 14-2 in conference action.
Leah Jones recorded her 12th double-double of the season as she led The Rock with 12 kills and 15 digs.
Brooke Bostwick tallied 11 kills, while
Kaley Fucci had seven. Additionally, Jones and Fucci both had two blocks apiece.
Zoe Rivet and
Haley Defibaugh shared setting duties with 15 and 14 assists in the loss, respectfully.
Courtney Oberlander registered 22 digs and Defibaugh notched a service ace to round out The Rock's top performers.
Slippery Rock will wrap up the season this weekend with two PSAC Northwest matchups against Gannon (Nov. 11 – 7 p.m.) and Mercyhurst (Nov. 12 – 2 p.m.).
