Courtney Bradshaw recorded her first goal of the season for Slippery Rock in the 62nd minute off a deflected shot from teammate junior
Renee Rosenblum to tie it up 1-1 and force the overtime.
ESU's Emily Howell scored the game-winner 3:24 into overtime to help lead the Warriors to the road win.
East Stroudsburg finished the match with advantages in total shots (22-6) and penalty corners (13-7).
Bradshaw netted the lone-Rock goal, while Rosenblum registered an assist. Juniors
Michelle Couch and
Erika Rohrbach all recorded two shots apiece.
Senior
Carlee DuMars was tagged with the loss after putting forth a valiant effort in the cage for SRU, recording 16 saves, including seven big stops in overtime.
With the loss, Slippery Rock falls to 2-4 overall. East Stroudsburg snaps a two-game setback and goes to 4-2.
Slippery Rock will take on Lindenwood Sunday at 11 a.m. at Mercyhurst.
