NOTES TO KNOW
• This will be the first meeting between The Rock and the Wildcats.

• SRU enters tonight's game at 3-3 overall and 1-2 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division play. After starting the year 1-2, Slippery Rock has rebounded by winning two out of its last three games leading up to the Daemen contest.

• Daemen, which competes in the East Coast Conference, comes to Slippery Rock with a 1-2 overall record. The Wildcats won their season-opener, but have lost their last two games.

• Slippery Rock needs a win to avoid having a losing record through its first seven games for the first time since the 2007-08 season.

• Slippery Rock head coach Kevin Reynolds needs three wins away from tying Hank Baierl for the second most wins in SRU history (144).

LAST TIME OUT
Senior guard Malcolm Richardson scored 18 of his game-high 26 points in the second half and overtime period to lead the Slippery Rock University men's basketball team to a 78-74 overtime win on the road in non-conference action at the University of the District of Columbia Nov. 24.

HOME COURT DOMINANCE
Simply put Slippery Rock doesn't lose at home, or at least it very rarely loses at home. Since the 2008-09 season, Slippery Rock is an amazing 82-20 (.804) in games played at Morrow Field House. Slippery Rock has lost just three times at home over the last 25 games.

Slippery Rock has been dominant at home in the month of December as SRU is 16-5 (.769) under Reynolds in the month since he took over the program in 2008-09.

ROCK LEADERS
As a team, Slippery Rock leads the PSAC in rebounds per game (rpg) with 43.5 while also ranking fourth in opponent field goal percentage (.405), fourth in blocks per game (4.7), fifth in points allowed per game (69.8) and sixth in 3-point shooting percentage (.364).

The duo of senior guard Malcolm Richardson and senior center Cornelius Brown have paced The Rock through the opening part of the season. Richardson has scored a team-high 17.8 points per game (ppg) while also totaling 5.2 rpg and 4.0 assists per game (apg). Brown has tallied five double-doubles in six games and is averaging  15.8 ppg and a Rock-best 11.2 rpg in addition to shooting 52.6 percent from the field.

Senior guard Jamal Gatali has already blocked 10 shots to go with 11.2 ppg and 6.5 rpg.

Junior forward Chaquille Pratt and senior guard Dontay Jackson round out SRU's top performers. Pratt is fourth on the team in scoring (10.2 ppg) and second in rebounding (7.7 rpg), Jackson leads SRU in assists (4.2 per game).

Senior guard Maxx Rynd has been Slippery Rock's one offensive threat off the bench this season with 4.7 ppg in six contests as a reserve.

Senior forward Erik Raleigh's eight blocks rank second on the team.

BROWN'S DOUBLE-DOUBLES
Brown has now recorded five double-doubles in the first six games of the season. He started the year with an 11-point, 10-rebound performance against Virginia State while also going for 26 points and 12 rebounds at Edinboro. He has continued his great start to the season with 11 points and 14 rebounds against Mansfield, 14 points and 11 rebounds against Lock Haven and 14 points and 12 rebounds vs. UDC.

Prior to Brown, the most double-doubles in the first seven games of the season by a Rock player was five. Maron Brown (2010-11) and Denell Stephens (2008-09).

50 IS THE MAGIC NUMBER
Slippery Rock, which led the nation in rebounding a year ago, is almost guaranteed a win if they can record 50 rebounds in a game. Since the 2008-09 season, Slippery Rock is 38-6 (.861) in games in which they get at least 50 total rebounds and 103-68 (.602) in games in which they do not hit the 50-rebound plateau.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
+12 - SRU's point differential in the first half of games this season.

4-1 - Slippery Rock's record in games in which Malcolm Richardson scores at least 20 points in over his career.

41 - Consecutive games played at Morrow Field House in which Slippery Rock has held opponents to under 80 points in. The last team to score 80 or more points against SRU at Morrow Field House was East Stroudsburg University, which scored 84 points in a Rock loss Jan. 11, 2013.

79.9 - The percentage of minutes played by The Rock's starting five in 2015-16. The starting rotation of Richardson, Pratt, Jackson, Brown and Gatali has played 979 of a possible 1,226 minutes.

REYNOLDS MOVING UP
Kevin Reynolds is ahead of all former SRU coaches in total wins through each season of his career. He won 21 games in his first year and through five years led all former coaches by 27 wins. Through seven seasons, Reynolds has 141 wins, while the next best in SRU history is Bob Barlett's 102.

Reynolds needs three wins to move into a tie with Hank Baierl for second on the all-time coaching wins list at SRU (144).

The SRU record for coaching wins belongs to N.Kerr Thompson with 221 wins in 20 seasons (1919-26, 1930-46).
