SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Two Slippery Rock University students that were members of the football program were immediately and permanently dismissed from the team Thursday night after it was discovered that they were allegedly involved in an incident earlier in the day at an apartment complex in Slippery Rock.
Â
Julian Durden and Calvert Anderson have been dismissed from the team, according to SRU director of athletics
Paul Lueken and head football coach
George Mihalik.
Â
"I am very disappointed in the selfish actions of these two men," said Mihlalik. "This is certainly not typical behavior among the men in our program and will not be tolerated. Both of these men were immediately and permanently dismissed from our program. Their actions are not representative of the players on our team."
Â
Durden and Anderson have been banned from campus and are also facing discipline from the university.
Â
No further comments will be made at this time. All questions and media inquires should be directed to
