Box Score (HTML) SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.- Five goals scored in the second half by No. 3 West Chester led the Golden Rams to a 6-1 victory over the Slippery Rock University field hockey team on a rainy Saturday afternoon at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.

Carlee DuMars were honored prior to the game for their commitment to the team over their fantastic careers.
SRU falls to 5-11 on the year and 2-7 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. Third-ranked West Chester improves to 14-3 overall and 6-3 in conference action.
The game was held scoreless until 46 seconds before halftime when Marnie Kusakavitch put the ball in the right side of the cage past DuMars to give the Golden Rams a 1-0 lead at the break.
Kusakavitch struck again just one minute into the second half with a hard shot from a few yards out. West Chester scored three more goals in under ten minutes to extend the lead to 5-0.
Megan McKay put The Rock on the board in the 55th minute with her 13th goal of the season after a scrum inside the box. McKay now has 48 career points, ranking her third in the SRU Record Books, just behind Marlene Hall (51) and Lindsay Brown (49).
Kusakavitch completed the hat trick in the 62nd minute with her 14th goal of the season on a deflected shot to give her team the five-goal win.
DuMars was tagged with the loss after recording five saves and allowing five goals.
Nicole Bream came in goal for the last stretch of the second half and picked up four saves, while allowing just one goal. In addition,
Kayla Mack recorded her fifth defensive save this season.
West Chester held advantages in shots (21-8) and penalty corners (7-5).
SRU hosts Limestone Oct. 30 in its final home game of the season at 1 p.m.
