Traditional Box Score (HTML)SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's basketball team scored its second consecutive runaway win over a Penn State branch campus with an 81-51 victory over Penn State Fayette Tuesday night at Morrow Field House.

The Rock improved to 3-2 overall with the win and 2-0 in their current homestand of games against PSU branch campuses. Slippery Rock defeated PSU Greater Allegheny 65-24 Monday night and will close the three-game stretch at home against Penn State Beaver Saturday with a 3 p.m. tip.

Slippery Rock was led by senior
Bridget McClure with a career-high 24 points, all coming off three-pointers. She went 8-of-26 from beyond the three-point arc and surpassed her previous career-high of five points by a wide margin. Her eight three-pointers fell one short of tying Amanda Nero's single-game record of nine, set against Lock Haven on Feb. 8, 2009.

McClure was the only Rock player in double figures as 16 Slippery Rock players saw time in the game and 13 registered points.
Audrey Stapleton and
Mallory Heinle each registered eight points.
Megan Hardiman chipped in seven points and
Taylor Siggers and
BreAnna Gross each scored six points.

D'Asia Chambers played limited minutes and finished with four points, eight rebounds and six assists.
Erica Aiello also played limited minutes and finished the game with four points, making both her attempts, three assists and three steals.

Slippery Rock finished the game shooting 44.1 percent from the field (30-of-68), 24.2 percent from beyond the 3-point arc (8-of-33) and 92.9 percent at the free throw line (13-of-14).

Penn State Fayette shot 33.3 percent from the field (17-of-51), 41.7 percent from long range (5-of-12) and 63.2 percent (12-of-19) from the free throw line.

Courtney Haines scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead PSU Fayette. Kelsey Laurine also scored 13 points and Jackie Halapy scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Slippery Rock scored the first 12 points of the game and ran out to 51-22 halftime lead and never looked back.

The Rock returns to Morrow Field House Saturday, Nov. 29 to host Penn State Beaver at 3 p.m.
