SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Nicole Krueger and
Tess Keeley both garnered hat-tricks to lead the Slippery Rock University women's soccer team to a 10-0 victory against the University of Pitt-Johnstown Saturday afternoon at James Egli Field.

Saturday's game was SRU's fifth game with at least 10 goals in program history and the most since an 11-goal performance vs. Saint Vincent College in 2003.

The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference victory improves The Rock's record to 6-2-1 overall and 5-2-1 in league play. The loss drops the Mountain Cats' record to 0-10-0 overall and 0-9-0 in the PSAC. The victory was also SRU's third consecutive win.

The game was never in doubt as Slippery Rock scored four goals in the opening 26 minutes and took a 7-0 lead into halftime. Slippery Rock continued to control the game in the second half with three more goals en route to the double-digit win.

Krueger scored all three of her goals within an 11 minute stretch in the first half while Keeley scored once in the eighth minute before adding two more goals late in the period. All six of Keeley's shots were on goal Saturday.

Also adding to The Rock's dynamic offense was Andrea Felix, who scored twice as well as
Sam Thornton and
Hannah Kengerski with one goal each.

Slippery Rock had one of its best passing days of the season as evidenced by its 11 assists. In addition to her hat-trick, Keeley also passed out three assists as did Felix. Krueger was close behind the pair with two assists of her own while
Caitlin Binder,
Brooke Edwards and
Dara Demich all secured assists as well.

The Rock scored early and often, posting two goals in the first 10 minutes before Krueger proceeded to score all three of her goals from 21
st minute to the 32
nd in the opening half. Keeley then closed out that period with her two final goals.
The second half belonged to Felix, who produced two goals at 54:02 and 81:52. Kengerski closed out the onslaught with her first collegiate score off of a Edwards corner that was headed down by Krueger.

Annabelle Hegeman and
Shannon Mahoney split time at goal for SRU with Hegeman playing the first half and Mahoney taking over in the second to finish off the shutout.

SRU held dominant advantages over Pitt-Johnstown in total shots (36-4), shots on goal (23-1) and corner kicks (7-0).

Karley Staffen took two shots for Pitt-Johnstown in the loss.
