GREENSBURG, Pa. – Renee Rosenblum notched the game-winner in double-overtime as The Rock secured a 2-1 comeback victory over Seton Hill in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action Tuesday afternoon.

With the win, Slippery Rock improves to 6-6 overall and into sixth at 4-4 in the PSAC. Meanwhile, Seton Hill falls to 0-9 overall and 0-7 in league play.

After a scoreless opening half, the Griffins wasted little time as Dominique Cappello found Alesha Herman on two-on-one breakaway less than a minute into the second frame, giving Seton Hill a 1-0 lead at the 35:55 mark.

Slippery Rock was frustrated by a pesky Seton Hill defense as the Griffins held the visitors scoreless for much of the game. A shot by Casey Young looked to provide the tying score, but the ball narrowly missed as it clanged off the post in the 56th minute.

The Rock earned a penalty corner less than a minute later to set up the equalizer. Kelsey Gustafson played the inbound pass to classmate Allison Shade before Baylee Childress directed Shade's pass into the cage for the tying score in the 57th minute.

Neither team was able to capitalize on scoring opportunities as the match remained tied 1-1 through regulation. Despite outshooting the hosts 7-1 in the first extra period, The Rock was blanked again to send the match into double-overtime.

In the fourth minute of the second extra frame, Rosenblum snuck behind the Griffins defense before deflecting a slick pass from Megan McKay past the keeper for the game-winner at the 78:28 mark.

Rosenblum came off the bench to record her first goal of the season, while Childress' goal represents the first points of her decorated career. Shade and McKay were each credited with an assist in the win.

Junior goalkeeper Carlee DuMars picked up the win to improve to 6-6 on the season after allowing a lone-goal on four saves.

Slippery Rock finished with dominant advantages in total shots (22-7) and penalty corners (17-1).

The 2-1 comeback win marks The Rock's second consecutive come-from-behind victory after defeating Mansfield 2-1 on a pair of late goals last Saturday.

The Rock returns to PSAC action Saturday, Oct. 18 at home against Kutztown. The match is set to begin at 12 p.m. from Mihalik-Thompson Stadium and will honor the class of 2014 as a part of SRU's Senior Day.
