Rock splits at Wheeling Jesuit

SRU (17-19) lost Game 1 by a 7-0 score before it won an 8-5 decision in Game 2 in non-conference action Friday

WHEELING, W. Va. -- The Slippery Rock University softball team split a non-conference doubleheader Friday at Wheeling Jesuit.

The hosts won a 7-0 decision in Game 1 before SRU won Game 2 by an 8-5 score.

No other details were available.

The split gave The Rock a 17-19 overall record heading into Saturday's 1 p.m. Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division doubleheader at Mercyhurst College in Erie.
