CALIFORNIA, Pa. -- Pat Reagan recorded a course-record time of 25:05 Saturday to win the individual competition and lead The Rock to a second-place team finish in the California U. of Pa. Invitational.

Two other Rock runners finished in the top 10 in the individual competition. Jeff Weiss placed third with a time of 26:29, while Kevin Dustin finished fifth with a 26:46 time.

George Walton placed 20th with a 28:09 time and Matt Mumford was 23rd with a 28:14 time to round out The Rock scorers.

Hosting California won the team title with 45 points, followed by The Rock with 52, Saint Francis with 75 and Grove City with 89.

The Rock is idle for two weeks before it will compete in the Sept. 20 Indiana U. of Pa. Invitational.

SRU was originally scheduled to compete in the Seagull Opener in Ocean City, Md., on Saturday but those plans changed in the wake of the tropical storm that hit the east coast.
