GREENSBURG, Pa. -- Hosting Seton Hill scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday afternoon to secure a 5-3 win over The Rock in a single nine-inning non-conference game.
The win was the fourth straight for the Griffins, who now own a 16-15 record.
The Rock sustained its second straight loss and saw its season record fall to 14-12.
SRU is back in action at 1 p.m. Wednesday, when Mansfield invades Jack Critchfield Park for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference "crossover" doubleheader. The games will be broadcast live via the Internet (go to "Internet broadcasts" link on the front page of

Seton Hill scored one run in the bottom of the third inning to take the first lead of the game before SRU responded with a run in the top of the fourth to tie the score at 1-1.
Scott Hugney led off The Rock fourth with a double and scored two outs later on a double by
Jacob Oswalt.
The Rock then scored two runs in the top of the seventh to take a 3-1 lead before Seton Hill came right back to score four times in the bottom of the seventh to secure the win.
Back-to-back one-out singles by
Rich Michalek and
Scott Bender set the stage for The Rock's two-run rally. Michalek came around to score on a fielder's choice and a throwing error on
Billy Herman's fielder's choice groundball, while Herman sprinted home on an RBI single by
Matt Adams.
Seton Hill scored its four seventh-inning runs on three hits, two bases on balls and one Rock error.
Each team finished the game with nine hits. Hugney had two hits, including a double, for The Rock, while Michalek added a pair of singles and Oswalt and
Jim Eimiller each had a double.
Colin McCoy was tagged with the loss in relief of Rock starter
Jim Hughes.
McCoy allowed four runs (three earned) on three hits, struck out five and walked two in two and two-thirds innings.
Hughes, who made his first collegiate start, yielded one earned run on five hits and walked three in three and two-thirds innings.
Justin Thomas struck out two and allowed one hit in the final one and two-thirds innings.
