CLARION, Pa. -- The Rock swept a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division doubleheader from hosting Clarion by 5-4 and 6-1 scores Friday to tie the school record for single-season wins.

This spring's squad now owns a 26-14 overall record, which matches the 2007 team's win total.

SRU , which is now 6-12 in PSAC-West action, will seek to set the wins record Saturday when it travels to California U. of Pa. for a 1 p.m. twinbill to close out the Green and White's 2008 schedule.

Clarion now owns a 4-29 overall record and an 0-17 PSAC-West mark.

Lisa Getgen (11-6), who is pictured above, picked up the pitching win in Game 2 after recording a save in Game 1. She allowed one unearned run on one hit, struck out two and walked one in Game 1 and allowed an unearned run on five hits and struck out three in a seven-inning complete-game performance in Game 2.

Getgen also hit a three-run home run in the top of the third inning of Game 2 to account for half of The Rock's runs.

Stacey Rhoades (8-4) was the Game 1 starting and winning pitcher. She allowed three earned runs on eight hits, struck out three and walked one in five innings.

In Game 1, The Rock scored one run in the top of the fourth inning and three in the fifth before adding what proved to be the game-winning tally in the sixth.

The fourth-inning tally tied the score at 1-1 while the three runs in the fifth gave SRU a 4-1 lead it would not relinquish. Clarion cut the margin to 4-3 with two runs in the bottom of the fifth before each team scored once in the sixth.

Sheree Horvath swung the hottest bat for SRU as she smacked a solo home run in the fourth inning and added an RBI double in the fifth as part of a 3-for-4 game at the plate.

Shardea Croes, Jessica Ellebruch and Meghan McHenry each added a pair of hits and Jordan Zeunges had a double to account for other highlights in SRU's 10-hit attack.

Whitney Warmus collected an RBI with a sacrifice fly in the fifth before Zeunges doubled and scored the eventual tying run on an RBI single by Ellebruch in the sixth inning. The fourth Rock run scored on a Clarion error.

In Game 2, The Rock scored two runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back.

SRU answered a single Clarion run in the bottom of the second with three runs in the top of the third to take a 5-1 lead and added the final run of the game in the top of the fourth.

A ground out by Ellebruch plated SRU's first run before McHenry singled home the second tally in the top of the first.

Getgen's home run, her first roundtripper of the season, accounted for The Rock's third-inning tallies before Zeunges tripled and scored on an error for the final run of the game.

Getgen and Zeunges each had two hits in Game 2, in which The Rock collected nine safeties.
