The guests scored four runs in the top of the first inning of Game 1 and never looked back as they pounded out 17 hits off three Rock pitchers.

Walker then allowed five earned runs on six hits and struck out one in one and two-thirds innings before Getgen allowed three hits, struck out one and walked one in three and one-third scoreless innings.

A two-run home run by
Stacey Rhoades in the bottom of the fourth trimmed the deficit to 6-2.
Jordan Zeunges slapped an RBI single in the fifth to account for the final Rock run.
Zeunges collected three of SRU's seven hits in the game. One of her hits was a double, the only extra-base hit for SRU other than Rhoades' roundtripper.
The Rock will seek to end its four-game skid Thursday when it hosts Salem International (W. Va.) in a 2:30 p.m. non-conference twinbill.
