Rock sweeps Mercy

Friday's 6-4, 5-4 double dip gives SRU a 9-1 record at the end of its spring-break trip

COCOA BEACH, Fla. -- The Rock concluded its spring trip with a 6-4, 5-4 doubleheader sweep Friday vs. Mercy College of New York.

The wins give SRU a 9-1 record this spring and a jumpstart on an unprecedented fifth successive 20-win season.

The Rock's next scheduled games are March 20-21, when the Green and White will travel to Howard University and Bowie State University for back-to-back twinbills.

SRU's home opener is scheduled for March 28 vs. Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division rival Indiana U. of Pa. (2:30 p.m. start).
