Reagan wins individual title, Rock fourth as a team in Pre-National Invitational

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Junior All-America performer Pat Reagan ran a course-record time of 24:51 Saturday morning to win the individual championship and lead The Rock to a fourth-place team finish in the SRU Pre-National Invitational at Cooper's Lake Campground.

UC San Diego won the team title with 52 points, followed by 21st-ranked Lock Haven with 69, Wayne State (Mich.) with 91 and The Rock with 98.

Reagan was followed across the finish line by teammates Jeff Weiss in seventh place with a time of 25:55; Jason Leonard in 24th place at 26:30, George Walton in 26th place at 26:33 and Kevin Dustin in 40th place at 27:07.

Weiss was the former course record holder.

The Rock's next meet will be the Penn State National Invitational, which will be held Oct. 17.
