The nationally ranked Rock cross country teams ran away from hosting Alaska-Anchorage on Saturday and recorded 18-41 and 23-56 wins, respectively, in men's and women's competition.
The Rock men are ranked 11th in the latest U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Division II national poll, while SRU's women are ranked 15th.
Two-time All-America performer Jeff Weiss paced the men's effort with a first-place time of 22:41 on the 4.5-mile course.
Pat Reagan placed second with a time of 23:07, while Matt Bluman (23:31), Chris Geddis (23:52) and Brian Ulrich (23:59) chalked up a 4-5-6 finish.
Katie Bork led The Rock women's effort with a second-place time of 19:08 on the 5,000-meter course. Jaime Wright was one spot back in third place with a 19:43 time, while Emily Skoczlas (20:17), Rebecca Younger (20:18) and Crystal Burnick (20:32) placed 6-7-8.
The Rock runners are idle until Sept. 18, when they will compete in the Indiana U. of Pa. Invitational.
