Rock men win SRU Invitational team title

Slippery Rock, Pa. - Pat Reagan's first-place time of 25:29.5 on the 8,000-meter course led The Rock men to the team title in Saturday's SRU Invitational at Cooper's Lake Campground.

Jeff Weiss finished second for the SRU men with a time of 25:59.8, while Chris Geddis (27:07.5), Kevin Dustin (27:07.7) and Matt Bluman (27:07.8) finished 4-5-6.

The Rock men scored 18 points in the meet to easily outdistance second-place Grove City (69 points). Indiana U. of Pa. was third with 83 points, followed by Allegheny with 119.

The Rock women finished second in the team standings behind IUP by only two points, 38-40. Grove City was third at 55 points, followed by Geneva with 94 and Allegheny with 143.

Katie Bork led The Rock women's effort with a second-place time of 23:19 on the 6,000m course, while Jaime Wright was third with a time of 23:31.

Leslie Kramer finished 10th with a time of 24:44, while Sarah Thompson had a time of 24:56 and Kim Smith had a 25:33 time.
