Weiss' No. 3 finish leads Rock men to No. 7 team finish in Penn State National Invitational

State College, Pa. - Two-time All-America performer Jeff Weiss placed third in the men's individual race Friday to lead The Rock to a seventh-place team finish in the Penn State Invitational.

Weiss ran a 26:19 time on the 5.2-mile course, while Pat Reagan had a 26:40 time and placed 13th.

Other Rock scorers included Matt Bluman, 32nd place at 27:05; Chris Geddis, 36th place at 27:09 and Brian Ulrich, 99th at 28:05.

The Rock men finished with 182 points; LaSalle won the team title with 62 points. A total of 20 men's teams competed.

In the women's 6,000-meter race, Katie Bork led SRU with an 89th-place time of 23:03.

Jaime Wright placed 113th at 23:38, followed by Leslie Kramer in 126th place at 24:09, Kim Smith in 140th place at 24:22 and Rebecca Younger in 144th place at 24:31.

The Rock women placed 23rd out of 25 teams.
