Blasko earns all-tournament honor after leading Rock to 3-1 showing in Colorado

Golden, Colo. - Jen Blasko recorded 66 kills, 50 digs, six blocks and four service aces in four matches over the weekend to lead The Rock to three wins in the Days Inn Denver West/Oredigger Classic hosted by Colorado School of Mines.

The 3-1 showing improved SRU's season record to 7-1 as it prepares for next weekend's Dutch Country Spiketacular hosted by Millersville University.

Blasko had 27 kills, 17 digs and five blocks in The Rock's 3-2 opening-round win Friday night over Adams State. She added 21 kills, 14 digs and one ace in a 3-1 loss to Colorado State-Pueblo later that night.

Blasko recorded 10 kills, nine digs and one ace in a 3-0 win over Western State (Colo.) on Saturday before she finished the weekend with eight kills, 10 digs, one block and two aces in a 3-0 win Saturday night over the tournament's host team, Colorado School of Mines.

The Rock opens Millersville tournament action with a 4 p.m. match Friday against C. W. Post before meeting Adelphi that evening. SRU will then face Dowling and Salem International on Saturday.

SRU will play its first 13 matches on the road before hosting reigning Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champion California U, of Pa. in the home opener at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16.
