Rock blanks St. Vincent, 3-0, to give Stacey Hart first collegiate win

Sept. 2, 2006

Final Stats

Latrobe, Pa. - Sara D'Amario scored a goal and handed out an assist Saturday to lead The Rock to a 3-0 win over hosting St. Vincent in non-conference action.

The win successfully opened the Stacey Hart coaching era at The Rock, but was a bittersweet one for Hart.

Hart served as head ocach at St. Vincent a year ago in the Bearcats' first-ever season of varsity competition.

D'Amario scored an unassisted goal six minutes into play Saturday to account for what would prove to be the winning goal of the game.

Lara Winter took a pass from Rebecca Zinn and put it in the net with nine minutes left in the first half for the second goal of the game.

Janice Feduke then capped the scoring off an assist from D'Amario with five minutes left to play.

Rock goalie Tara Bailey was called upon to make only two saves en route to recording the shutout.

The Rock returns to action at 4 p.m. Wednesday, when it will host defending NCAA Division II national runner-up Bloomsburg on Bob DiSpirito Field at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.
