Anastasia Urbanik recorded 18 kills and three blocks Tuesday night to lead The Rock to a 3-1 win over visiting Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division rival Edinboro in Morrow Field House.
The Rock cruised to 30-18 and 30-17 wins in the first two games before Edinboro took the third game by a 30-28 score. SRU ended the match with a 30-22 win in Game 4.
Louise Schultz added 11 kills, four service aces and three blocks, while Jen Blasko had nine kills, 13 digs and two service aces as The Rock recorded its 12th win in 15 outings this fall and second in three PSAC-West contests.
Katie Greco contributed seven kills; Sara Kirsch had 45 assists, five kills and 13 digs; Caitlin Hubbard recorded a team-high 18 digs and two service aces and Gwen Oberlin and Emily Sandora each chalked up 13 digs. Oberlin also had a pair of service aces.
The Rock's next matches will be Friday and Saturday in PSAC "crossover" competition at Indiana U. of Pa. SRU will play Shippensburg at 5 p.m. on Friday, then meet West Chester and East Stroudsburg at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively, on Saturday.
SRU's next home match is Oct. 3 against Clarion (7 p.m.) in Morrow Field House.
