Slippery Rock, Pa. - The Rock was handed its fourth straight loss -- all by a top-10 team -- Sunday when second-ranked Shippensburg shutout SRU, 8-0, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Bob DiSpirito Field at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.

The visiting Red Raiders outshot The Rock by a 44-3 margin, 29-2 in shots on goal.

Rock goalies Tara Bailey and Ashley Winkelspecht recorded 19 and two saves, respectively.

SRU will seek to end its skid on Tuesday, when it will visit seventh-ranked Indiana U. of Pa. for a 4 p.m. game.
