The Rock stumbled and fell by a 3-0 score Tuesday night vs. hosting Lock Haven in opening-night action of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division season.
The Bald Eagles recorded 30-25, 30-26 and 30-28 game scores en route to handing The Rock only its third loss in the 13 games this fall.
Anastasia Urbanik led The Rock attack with eight kills and one block, while Andrea Campbell added six kills and Jen Blasko had four kills, eight digs and four service aces.
Gwen Oberlin recorded a team-high 16 digs, Emily Sandora added nine digs and Sara Kirsch chalked up 24 assists, six digs and five kills.
The Rock returns to action at 2 p.m. Saturday, when it will host defending PSAC playoff champion and nationally ranked California U. of Pa. in the home opener in Morrow Field House.
