Glenville, W. Va. - Jen Blasko recorded 18 kills, seven service aces and 25 digs Friday to lead The Rock to pair of wins in opening-day action in the Pioneer Invitational hosted by Glenville State College.

Blasko had nine kills, 14 digs and three aces in SRU's season-opening, 3-0 (30-16, 30-14, 30-25) win over Bridgeport. She added nine kills, 11 digs and four aces in a 3-0 (30-13, 30-19, 30-11) win over the tournament's host team, Glenville State.

Louise Schultz recorded seven and nine kills in the respective matches, while Anastasia Urbanik had seven kills in each match.

Andrea Campbell recorded 11 kills vs. Bridgeport, Katie Greco had seven kills vs. Glenville State, Caitlin Hubbard chalked up 11 digs vs. Bridgeport and six digs and four aces vs. Glenville State.

Senior setter Sara Kirsch recorded 33 assists in Friday's opening match and followed that effort up with 31 assists and four aces vs. Glenville State, while Gwen Oberlin had nine digs vs. Bridgeport.

The Rock winds up the trip to Glenville with a pair of matches on Saturday (9 a.m. vs. Francis Marion and 3 p.m. vs. St. Andrews Presbyterian) before turning its sights towards next weekend's Colorado School of Mines tournament.
