Rock ace Brittany Hahn fired a two-hit, complete game and struck out nine batters in Saturday's first game to lead The Rock to a 10-2, 6-2 sweep of hosting Bowie State.
The gem was the second shutout tossed by Hahn in as many days. She limited Columbia Union to only three hits on Friday and now owns a 6-3 record.
Lisa Getgen picked up the second-game win in relief of starter Jenna Frieling.
The Rock (11-7) has now won eight of its last nine games and is currently riding a five-game win streak.
With the loss, Bowie State falls to 3-7 for the year.
The Rock pounded out eight hits in the first game, led by a two-hit, two-RBI performance by Lindsay Rodgers. Meghan McHenry added two singles and one RBI, while Getgen had a double and an RBI and Stacey Rhoades chipped in a single and one RBI.
The Rock bat attack continued its domination of opposing pitchers in the second game as the team clubbed nine hits in the contest.
In addition to being the winning pitcher, Getgen led The Rock attack at the plate, smacking a single and a home run and picking two RBIs.
Alicia Dixon collected two hits, including a double, while Courtney Conron added a double and two RBIs, Andrea Murdock had a hit and an RBI and McHenry roped a double.
The Rock will next travel to Point Park College on Tuesday for a scheduled doubleheader. The first game will begin at 3 p.m.
