Ft. Myers, Fla. - The Rock softball team dropped its second game of the afteroon on its spring trip to Florida, falling 8-1 to Minnesota State Moorhead University.

The Rock committed five errors in the contest, while managing only five hits during the game.

Earning the tough loss on the mound was Jenna Frieling, who struck out two batters in three and one third innings of work.

Courtney Conron roped the only extra-base hit for The Rock, connecting for a triple. Stacey Rhoades, Amber Phillips, Andrea Murdock and Lisa Getgen all singled in The Rock's effort.

The loss evens The Rock's overall record at 4-4 on the season. The visitors improve to 4-0 on the year.

The Rock will have Tuesday off before taking on St. Michael's at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
