Four players recorded double-figure scoring totals Wednesday night but it wasn't enough for The Rock to avert a school-record-tying 19th successive loss, a 99-78 setback at PSAC-West rival Indiana U. of Pa.
Brandon Thompson scored 14 points, Joseph Vines added 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds and Matt Hale and Jamar Scales each scored 10 points for SRU (1-20, 0-6).
Matt Schaefer handed out six assists for The Rock, which will be idle until next Monday, Feb. 6, when it will visit California U. of Pa. for a PSAC-West contest.
The Rock scored the first two points of the game before Indiana assumed control of the proceedings.
The Indians enjoyed a 16-point (34-18) advantage with 5:45 left in the first half and took a 13-point (47-34) lead into intermission.
SRU trimmed the deficit to nine points on two occasions (49-40 and 51-42)in the final 20 minutes; Indiana's largest lead was 28 points (90-62) with four minutes left.
