Reepmeyer records double-double in Rock's 68-54 loss to East Stroudsburg

Slippery Rock, Pa. - Glenn Reepmeyer had a strong individual effort Wednesday night, but it went for naught as The Rock dropped a 68-54 decision to visiting East Stroudsburg (7-2) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference interdivisional action in Morrow Field House.

Reepmeyer scored 12 points, grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds and blocked five shots for SRU (3-7).

He was one of three Rock players to score more than 10 points in the game. Kenny Smith scored a team-high 14 markers, while Erroll Robinson added 10.

The Rock and Warriors battled to a 29-29 stalemate in the first 20 minutes of action before the guests recorded a 39-25 advantage following the halftime intermission.

SRU shot a very respectable 44.9% (22 of 49) from the field, but committed 24 turnovers compared to only 11 for ESU.

The Rock is idle until Dec. 30, when it will travel to Erie to take on Mercyhurst in a 3 p.m. game.

The next Rock home game is Jan. 10 at 8 p.m. vs. Lock Haven. That will be the opening game of the PSAC-Western Division schedule.
