The Rock worked overtime Saturday afternoon, but reaped the rewards as they rang the victory bell for the second successive game.
Jamar Scales scored a team-high 21 points to lead a Rock attack that included six players with 10 or more points as SRU downed West Chester, 96-89, in overtime in Pennsylvania State Athletic Confeence "crossover" action in Morrow Field House.
With the win, The Rock equalled its win total of a year ago, when the Green and White struggled to a 2-25 finish.
Saturday's loss dropped West Chester's record to 4-2.
Brandon Thompson had 19 points for SRU, Kenny Smith 15 points, Glenn Reepmeyer 14 points and a game-high 16 rebounds and Matt Schaefer both finished with 10 points.
The Rock trailed by seven points, 48-41, at halftime.
The score was tied at 78-78 at the end of regulation time before The Rock scored 11 of the first 13 points in overtime to take command of things.
SRU, led by interim first-year head coach Jamal Palmer, returns to the Morrow Field House hardwood at 3 p.m. Sunday against Millersville.
