Rock falls by 72-51 score in exhibition action at Division I Cleveland State

Cleveland, Ohio - Glenn Reepmeyer recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds and Jamar Scales added 15 points Tuesday night to lead The Rock effort in a 72-51 exhibition game loss at NCAA Division I Cleveland State.

The game was the unofficial debut of interim Rock head coach Jamal Palmer. The results will not count in The Rock's official win-loss record.

SRU will travel to BIG EAST Conference power West Virginia for another exhibition game on Nov. 14 (7 p.m. start).

The Rock tips off its official schedule on Nov. 19 against yet another NCAA Division I foe, Horizon Conference member Youngstown State (7:05 p.m. start).

The Rock held a pair of one-point leads early in Tuesday's game before Cleveland State -- also a member of the Horizon Conference -- pulled out to a double-digit lead in the final three minutes of the first half.

SRU trailed by 16 points, 37-21, at intermission and was unable to close the margin to less than 14 points in the final 20 minutes of action.
