Lock Haven, Pa. - The Rock's bid for the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional championship ended Friday night when second-seeded California U. of Pa. handed the third-seeded Green and White a 3-0 loss in semifinal action.

The Rock gave their Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division rivals a stiff challenge before succumbing, though, as California prevailed by 30-22, 33-31 and 30-28 scores.

Jen Blasko led The Rock effort with 15 kills and three service aces, while Anastasia Urbanik had 10 kills and Sara Kirsch recorded 35 assists and 14 digs.

Friday night's loss gave the 2006 Rock squad a 31-9 final record, the most wins by a Green and White volleyball team since 1993's best-ever 40-10 record.

The match also rung down the curtain on the collegiate careers of five Rock seniors: Kirsch, Katie Greco, Caitlin Hubbard, Gwen Oberlin and Emily Sandora.
