Louise Schultz recorded team-high totals in kills (22) and blocks (8) Saturday afternoon to lead The Rock to a 3-2 win over hosting Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division rival Clarion in the regular-season finale.
The Rock won the first two games by scores of 30-20 and 30-13, lost the third and fourth games by 30-28 and 30-22 scores and then won the decisive fifth game by a 15-9 score.
The win gives The Rock a 29-7 overall record and a 6-4 PSAC-West mark heading into next weekend's PSAC playoffs in Lock Haven.
The Rock, the No. 3 seed from theh PSAC-West, will take on PSAC-East No. 2 East Stroudsburg in opening-round action on Friday. The winner of that match will take on PSAC-West regular-season champion Lock Haven in semifinal action.
The Rock beat East Stroudsburg twice during regular-season action and lost twice to Lock Haven.
Jen Blasko added 14 kills, three service aces, 13 digs and three blocks Saturday, while Anastasia Urbanik recorded 11 kills and seven blocks and Andrea Campbell eight kills, four blocks and 12 digs.
Sara Kirsch was credited with 30 assists, one ace and two blocks; Emily Sandora had 14 assists and seven digs; Caitlin Hubbard had a team-high 22 digs and two aces; Gwen Oberlin had 20 digs.
