Slippery Rock, Pa. - No. 16 Mercyhurst stormed back from a 2-0 deficit to score three unanswered goals and thwart The Rock's upset bid in overtime on Bob DiSpirito Field at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.

SRU scored twice in the span of two minutes midway through the first half and held a 2-0 with less than five minutes left to play in regulation time before the Lakers staged their comeback.

Meghan McGrath gave The Rock a 1-0 lead when she converted an assist from Nici Spamer in the 29th minute of action into her seventh goal of the season.

McGrath then set up a goal by Mallory Neubert in the 30th minute to extend the hosts' lead to 2-0.

Mercyhurst trimmed the margin to one with a goal in the 86th minute and tied the score at 2-2 with an 88th-minute tally.

The Lakers then snatched victory from the jaws of defeat with a goal in the fifth minute of overtime.

The loss snapped a three-game win streak for SRU, which saw its season record fall to 10-5-1.
