Amanda Chojnacki and Amber McFeely each nailed a pair of free throws in the final minute of play Saturday afternoon to account for the winning margin in a 53-49 Rock win over hosting Lock Haven in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division contest.
Chojnacki finished the game with team-high totals of 14 points and seven rebounds, while McFeely added eight points and handed out 10 assists.
The win evened The Rock's overall season record at 9-9. The victory was the first in three PSAC-West games this winter.
Lock Haven lost for only the fourth time in 17 outings this winter and dropped to 1-2 in PSAC-West action.
Chojnacki sank a pair of free throws with 26 seconds left to give SRU a 51-49 lead before McFeely padded the margin with two charity tosses with 0:00 showing on the game clock.
KellyAnn Staudinger chipped in nine points for SRU, which will travel to Clarion for a 6 p.m. PSAC-West game on Wednesday. Angela Greaser and Jessica Schake added seven points each in the win over Lock Haven.
