Final Stats

Queens, N.Y. - Freshman forward Mallory Neubert scored the first two goals of her collegiate career Sunday afternoon to account for the only goals of the game as The Rock blanked hosting Queens College, 2-0.

The win, which came today's after a season-opening 1-0 loss at Bridgeport (Conn.), evened The Rock's season record at 1-1.

Both of Neubert's goals came in the first half.

She converted an assist from freshman classmate Danielle Cooper on a loose ball in the box into what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 30th minute of action, then added an unassisted goal in the final seconds of the first half.

Freshman goalie Jen McCormick made Neubert's goals stand up as she recorded 11 saves in her first collegiate game.

Both The Rock and Queens fired 18 shots on goal in the contest.

The Rock returns to action at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, when it will host Lock Haven on James W. Egli Field in the opening game of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference schedule.
