Slippery Rock, Pa. -
Ashley Stoner took a pass from Kathleen Ross via Rebecca Zinn and put it in the back of the net with 16-plus left to play Sunday afternoon to account for the only Rock goal in a season-opening 6-1 loss to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rival Shippensburg on Bob DiSpirito Field at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.
The win was the fifth in as many games for Shippensburg, which has scored five or more goals in all five games.

The Rock will seek its first win of the season on Saturday, Sept. 10, when it hosts conference rival Indiana U. of Pa. in an 11 a.m. game on DiSpirito Field at Thompson Stadium.
