Green's 20 points paces Rock winning effort at Lock Haven

Lock Haven, Pa. - The Rock kept alive its hopes for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division playoff berth when it recorded a 58-50 win Saturday afternoon over hosting Lock Haven.

The win was the second in as many games for The Rock, which now has a 9-15 overall record and a 3-6 PSAC-W mark.

Stacey Green paced the winning attack with 20 points and eight rebounds. Angela Greaser added eight points and seven rebounds in a substitute role, while Kristen Bonner also scored eight points.

The teams battled on even terms throughout the first half as the score was tied four times and the lead changed hands four times.

The final deadlock of the first 20 minutes came when The Rock's Jess Caso nailed a three-point shot with seven seconds left in the half to tie the score at 26-26. That was the score at intermission.

The score was tied three more times in the first 10 minutes of the second half before a layup by Greaser gave The Rock a lead it would not relinquish.

The Rock led by 11 points on two occasions in the final minute before Lock Haven closed the final margin to eight points.

SRU will travel to Clarion for a 6 p.m. game on Wednesday before closing out its home schedule with a 1 p.m. game next Saturday vs. Shippensburg.
