Rock drops 95-53 decision at Youngstown State

Youngstown, Ohio - Nathanael McCoy scored 11 points in a substitute role and Dejan Jancic added 10 points to lead The Rock scoring attack in a 95-53 loss at Youngstown State.

Eric Novick led The Rock in rebounding with seven in a substitute role, while Erroll Robinson handed out five assists and Matt Schaefer had four assists.

The loss dropped the NCAA Division II Rock's record to 1-2.

YSU, an NCAA Division I squad, evened its record at 1-1.

The Rock fell behind by an 8-0 score but battled back to make a game of it for the first 10 minutes of action before the Penguins flexed their muscle and pulled away.

SRU is idle for one week, until a 7 p.m. home game on Nov. 30 against Glenville State in Morrow Field House.

That will be the first of three straight home games The Rock will play, all in the span of five days.

SRU will host East Stroudsburg and Mansfield on back-to-back days Dec. 3 and 4 in the first two games of its seven-game Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference "crossover" series.
