Slippery Rock, Pa. -
The Slippery Rock men's soccer team saw its five game win streak snapped Tuesday afternoon, as visiting West Chester downed The Rock 2-0.
The teams battled to a 0-0 tie at the half. However, the visitors would score what would prove to be the game winning goal in the 57th minute.
The Rock was outshot by a 21-15 margin on the game. Goalkeeper Chris Cook recorded nine saves in the net for The Rock.
The Rock loss, coupled with California's win Tuesday, dropped SRU from atop the conference standings and into sole possession of second place behind the Vulcans.
The Rock will look to get back on track Saturday when it visits Shippensburg. Game time is slated for 12 p.m.
