Johnson leads Rock with 23 points in 83-66 loss to Millersville

Slippery Rock, Pa. - Bill Johnson scored a team-high 23 points and Dejan Jancic had a season-high 16 points and six rebounds in The Rock's 83-66 loss to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) "crossover" rival Millersville at Morrow Field House on Sunday afternoon.

The Rock, coming off its first win of the season on Saturday, dropped to 1-12 with the defeat; Millersville improved to 8-1.

Millersville jumped out to a 44-28 halftime lead while 55 percent from the floor during the opening session. The Marauders shot 54 percent for the game.

SRU made 47 percent of its shots for the contest.

The Rock was able to cut the Marauders' lead to nine on three different occasions during the second half, the last of which came at the 8:53 mark when Millersville led 61-52.

SRU will travel to California, Pa. to open PSAC-West Divisional play Wednesday night at 8 p.m.
