Bill Johnson scored a career-high 29 points to lead The Rock (1-11) to its first victory of the 2004-05 campaign, a 83-73 overtime win against Cheyney University (1-8) at Morrow Field House on Saturday afternoon.
Glenn Reepmeyer scored 19 points and grabbed six rebounds and Mason Glick added 15 points and five boards.
Dejan Jancic, who played 13 solid minutes off the bench while Reepmeyer sat with four personal fouls, added a season-high 12 points and six rebounds, including six during the overtime session.
The Rock trailed early in the first half by as many as nine points (21-12), but outscored the Wolves by 11 in the final 12:56 to take a two-point lead at halftime (37-35).
The Rock led by as many as eight points (62-54) with 9:04 remaining, but costly missed free-throws and turnovers allowed Cheyney to tie the score (67-67) at the end of regulation.
The Rock outscored Cheyney by a 16-6 margin in overtime to seal the victory.
The Rock will take on Millersville Sunday at 3 p.m. at Morrow Field House in its second PSAC "cross-over" match-up in as many days.
