Kristen Bonner scored a game-high 23 points and Stacey Green recorded a "double-double" as The Rock recorded its first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division win of the season, a 59-47 defeat Saturday afternoon of Lock Haven at Morrow Field House.
The Rock improved to 7-11 overall and 1-2 in the PSAC-W with the win. Lock Haven dropped to 2-15, 1-2.
Green scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for her fifth "double-double" of the season. Erin Frankovich contributed 10 points and five rebounds, while Amber McFeely handed out a game-high nine assists.
Green's jumper at the 12:28 mark of the first half gave The Rock an 18-point (22-4) lead before Lock Haven went on an 11-0 run to cut the deficit to seven, 22-15.
SRU answered with a 19-7 run to close out the half with a 41-22 lead. The Rock built its largest lead with 10:43 remaining in the game before Lock Haven trimmed the margin to 10 (57-47) with 3:32 to go.
SRU held the Bald Eagles to 33 percent shooting for the game and shot 10-for-11 from the free throw line.
The Rock will host Clarion Wednesday for a 6 p.m. contest at Morrow Field House.
