Johnson's last-second layup lifts Rock past Lock Haven, 69-68

Slippery Rock, Pa. - Bill Johnson's layup with 5.2 seconds remaining was the difference in The Rock's 69-68 win over Lock Haven in Saturday's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division action at Morrow Field House.

Glenn Reepmeyer scored a career-high 26 points and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds to pace SRU while Johnson added 13 points.

Brandon Thompson was a catalyst off the bench, scoring 12 points and handing out a game-high eight assists.

The Rock improved to 3-15 overall and 1-2 in the PSAC-W.

The Bald Eagles (2-15, 0-3) took an 11-point lead (37-26) to the locker room at halftime but The Rock put together a 17-6 run to tie the game at 43-43 with 14:01 remaining.

Mason Glick hit two consecutive three-point field goals to give The Rock its largest lead, five points (52-47), at the 10:58 mark.

Reepmeyer grabbed an important defensive rebound on a missed free-throw opportunity by Lock Haven with 0:12 remaining to set up Johnson's game-winning layup.

SRU hosts Clarion in an 8 p.m. game Wednesday at Morrow Field House.
