Rock starts slow, drops 83-60 decision at No. 15 Edinboro

Edinboro, Pa. - No. 15 Edinboro jumped out to a 14-0 lead and never looked back Wednesday night en route to an 83-60 win over The Rock in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division action.

The Fighting Scots (14-2, 1-0) also nailed 12 three-point shots in the game.

The Rock fell to 2-15, 0-2 despite having three players score 10 or more points and Dejan Jancic grab a game-high 15 rebounds.

Jason Bratten led The Rock scoring attack with 14 points in a substitute role. Bill Johnson added 13 points, while Glenn Reepmeyer scored 10 points.

The Rock was held scoreless for the first three-plus minutes as the Scots took quick control of the game.

Sean White's jumper at the 16:49 accounted for SRU's first points of the game.

Edinboro enjoyed a 21-point, 47-26, advantage at halftime and extended the margin to 34 points, 66-32, with 12 minutes left to play.

The Rock will host Lock Haven at 3 p.m. on Saturday in a PSAC-West game in Morrow Field House, then entertains division rival Clarion at 8 p.m. next Wednesday, Jan. 26.
