Arsenault scores two in rout over Molloy

Slippery Rock, Pa.--First-team All-America performer Sarah Arsenault led The Rock (3-0) onslaught with two goals and an assist in a 7-0 rout over Molloy (0-4) Sunday afternoon on James W. Egli Field. Julie Kirwan opened the scoring 6:57 into the first half on a well-placed cross from Arsenault. Jessica Markowski scored her first goal of the 2004 campaign on the first of two Lauren Steele assists. Christy Czapor's unassisted second goal of 2004 put The Rock ahead, 3-0. Jaimi Wilson scored The Rock's fourth goal on a pass from Julie Kirwan. Arsenault's unassisted first goal put The Rock ahead 5-0 before the end of the first half. In the second half, Arsenault scored on Steele's second assist, and Ashley Kraszewski's first career goal from Kristin Mikolajczyk completed the Rock scoring attack. Sarah Arsenault's two goals and one assist give her 12 points in three games. The Rock all-time leading scorer now has 54 goals and 20 assists in three-plus seasons. The Rock outshot Molloy 19-3. Freshman goalkeeper Karrine Riggins earned her third win of the season. The Rock will play its third game in five days on Monday when they take on Mercyhurst at 7 p.m. at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.
