Arsenault scores game-winner to defeat Lock Haven, 2-1

Slippery Rock, Pa. - In a rematch of the 2003 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championship game, reigning PSAC "Player of the Week," Sarah Arsenault scored the game-winning goal to clinch a Rock victory over Lock Haven, 2-1 Saturday afternoon.

The seventh-ranked Rock improves its record to 7-0-1 overall and 3-0-0 in PSAC play.

Jaimi Wilson initiated The Rock scoring with an unassisted goal in the 44th minute of the first half, her third of the season.

Lock Haven tied the score on a header off a direct kick in the 63rd minute.

Arsenault's game-winner--her 12th goal of the season--came on a partial break away in the 79th minute.

Goalkeeper Karrine Riggins saved five of Lock Haven's 16 total shots to record her seventh victory.

The Rock posted 12 shots on the afternoon.

SRU will put its undefeated record on the line again Wednesday in an away match verus California, Pa. at 2:00 p.m.
