Slippery Rock, Pa. - The Rock scored a late goal to tie eleventh-ranked Mercyhurst, 1-1 in a non-conference matchup Wednesday night at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.

The Rock remains undefeated with a 5-0-1 record in 2004.

SRU's Nick Christy scored his second goal of the season in the 77th minute to even the score at one. David Flamer earned the assist.

Rock goalkeeper Pat Passewitz recorded 11 saves.

The Rock was outshot by a 34-8 margin.

SRU will take on Lock Haven in its next contest at 3:00 p.m. on James W. Egli Field.
